  • 1910

    Gothenburg Public Hall was opened and soon converted into the Gothenburg Picture House

  • 1925

     A Clocktower was added to the Gothenburg Picture House as a gift to the people of Kelty

  • 1939

    Regal Cinema opened its doors to the public, it was built by local business man Tommy Taylor and was operated as an independent cinema

  • 1960

    The Gothenburg closed as a Picture House and was later used as a raincoat factory

  • 1964

    Regal Cinema converted into a Bingo Hall

  • 1975

    The Gothenburg was demolished to make way for flats

  • 1993

    What was the Regal Cinema was demolished

  • 2016

    Kelty Community Cinema was created

  • 2018

    Kelty’s inaugural film festival
